Martin’s Rake Wine Collection

Martin’s Rake Winemaker, Pamela, introduces a New Zealand family of wines from the Mother Island. The weather is special there because there is not a lot of difference between night and day temperatures and the grapes are able to enjoy the sunshine. This family of wine is very bright and carries an acidity.  It’s also described as lush and round yet has a bit of a floral appeal and is very expressive.  It’s perfect for summer nights to share with friends.

Ogio Sparkling Rose

Winemaker, Linda Trotta, sees the Ogio Sparkling Rose as a refreshing, lively, and simple wine. The Ogio Sparkling Rose is not only beautiful to look at, with its really nice pink color, but also has nice flavors of fresh fruit such as strawberries, raspberries and a little bit of watermelon to enjoy. Ogio wines are perfect for toasting all of the special moments in your life. Pairs nicely with cheeses such as brie, goat cheese and goat brie.

Rue De Perle Provence Rose

Kurt Lorenzi, VP of Winemaking and Sourcing, thinks the Rue de Perle Provence Rose is a delectable Rose. Notes of fresh strawberries exist in both the aromas and the flavor, with a lovely lively acidity. Lorenzi likes to pair this wine with a dynamite cheese plate of favorite French cheeses or with melon wrapped in prosciutto. This wine takes him back to his backyard in the summertime sitting around with friends in the late afternoon just enjoying a glass in good company. Pairs nicely with Feta, Cheddar or Baby Swiss.

Storyteller Sauvignon Blanc

About last night a refreshing white wine that has vitality and is a great start to the party. This Sauvignon Blanc has ripe tropical fruit flavors. You will experience mango, pear and peach but this wine also has a good amount of acidity that helps balance it with food. The racy character matches well with anything that tends to have a little bit of richness such as pizza, as well as seafood dishes. Storyteller Sauvignon Blanc "About Last Night" also pairs well with brick muenster and gouda.

Storyteller Zinfandel

Matthew Schublach, Storyteller Wines Winemaker describes their Zinfandel, Fireside, as having bold, jammy, spicy flavors that you can enjoy with friends and family at a barbecue. It brings to mind good experiences shared with friends at that backyard event that we so much enjoy. It pairs well with brisket.
