Sweet Red Lemonade

Hey, y’all! We’re wrapping up our frozen drink month with another DELISH beverage to keep you cool and happy in this summer heat! This one is the perfect mix of summer staple & wine snob. We can say that, right?! Because we definitely just did. Anyway — without further ado, may we introduce you to our refreshing and delicious Sweet Red Lemonade!

Here’s what you’ll need:
2 lemons, juiced
2 tbsp sugar
3 generous scoops lemon sorbet (we used private selection brand — Y U M)
Bottle Acronym Red Blend
Nutribullet or blender of choice

Here’s how you make it:
Start by juicing your two lemons. Add 2 tbsp sugar to fresh squeezed lemon juice and mix until sugar is dissolved. Add 3 generous scoops of your lemon sorbet (and then take a spoonful to eat while you make this of course). Blend together to desired consistency and pour into glass. Top with Acronym red blend and enjoy!

Easy peasy….wait for it.. LEMON SQUEEZY! We absolutely LOVE this drink. There is something different about the flavor matched with its incredible smooth texture that will have you refilling your glass…and refilling again. Annnnd again!

Piña Moscata

Hey, friends! We hope your summer is going well and you’ve been able to enjoy alllll the fun summer activities with your families and friends. As you may remember from our Fourth of July drink, we’re doing a fun little ‘frozen wine recipes’ theme this month, and today’s recipe is my (Melissa) personal fav!

I am a TOTAL sucker for all the delicious vacation drinks (piña coladas, daiquiris, margaritas, etc) and today’s recipe is the perfect beach drink that you can enjoy right from your couch! For the record, you could also enjoy it from the beach, but that’s a given, right?! So without further ado, fall in love with our DEEEELISH Piña Moscata!

Here’s what you’ll need:
1 bottle Chalkboard Moscato
1/3 C Pineapple chunks
1/4 C Bai Puna Coconut Pineapple
1/4 C Ice
Nurtibullet or blender of some sort

And here’s how you make it:
(First of all, can you believe this ingredient list!? SO. DARN. EASY.) Anywho,  in your blender/bullet, combine all of your ingredients, saving your wine for last. We eyeballed the wine because, let’s be honest, it depends what kind of day you’re trying to have, right?! Blend to desired consistency, pour, and garnish with pineapple a chunk! As with any frozen drink, add ice to thicken your slush or add liquid to thin it out!

So listen, y’all. This is literally a wine version of a piña colada. And it is SO yummy. It has all the flavor of summer, it’s wildly refreshing, and it’s pretty, too. Win – win – win! This will be amazing at all your summer pool parties, patio evenings… or honestly wherever you want to enjoy it! But one thing we know for sure is that you will want more (many, many more) than just one!

As always, you can check out our instagram @corksandcheers for the video on how to make it!

Cheers!

Red, WINE, + Blue Slushie

Happy JULY, friends! Why does it seem like it took 3 years for us to get to May and about 3 days for us to get to July!? Anyone else!? Either way, we are SO excited to start the month out the best way we know how. — celebrating our beautiful country! Today’s drink is a little more involved than our normal 2 minute cocktail, but we think the 4th of July is a worthwhile cause… plus it’s worth the labor.

Introducing our Red WINE + Blue Slushie! It’s our take on a frozen wine slushie..only there are multiple wines AND it’s patriotic. YAAAAS!!

Here’s what you’ll need:
1 Bottle Delatorri Sparkling Moscato
1 Bottle Myles & Moore Rosé
1/2 c Lemonade
Ice (lots of ice)
2 tbsp Grenadine
1/4 c Frozen Cherries
1/4 c Frozen Blueberries
1/4 Cup Sweetened Coconut Milk
3 drops blue food coloring
Blender, nutribullet, etc.

Here’s how you make it:
You will start by doing one layer at a time. We decided to go blue on the bottom, white in the middle, and red on top. Little disclaimer for you: Once they were all poured over one another, however, they kind of marbleized into an adorable tie-dye looking treat because, as you can imagine in July, they melt pretty quickly. Regardless, the end product is so fun and yummy! Ooookay, ANYWAY! Back to what I was saying — let’s make this baby!
In your blender, combine 1/2 cup ice, 1 cup lemonade, 2/3 cup frozen blueberries, and 3 drops blue food coloring. Blend until consistency is that of a slushie. If your mixture gets too runny, just add a few more frozen berries — they act as ice without watering it down. Next, you can either pour that in your glass *OR* another option is to stick it in the freezer until you’re all the way ready to pour each part. This might be a better idea ;).
Next up,  it’s your white layer. After cleaning out your blender, combine 1/2 cup ice, 1 cup Delatorri Sparkling Rosé, and 1/4 cup sweetened coconut milk. Blend to desired consistency, and pour (or freeze). Finally, make your red layer. After cleaning your blender one last time, combine 1/2 cup ice, 1 cup Myles & Moore Rosé, 2 tbsp grenadine, and 1/4 cup frozen cherries. Blend to desired consistency. Pour over blue and white layers or stick in the freezer if you’re waiting to serve. The trick is really just making sure they are thick enough and equal in their consistencies to stack. Otherwise you will get your marble-y mixture sooner than you might want. But like we mentioned earlier, the marble/tie-dye look is kind of adorable and we are a little bit obsessssed!! We garnished ours with some cute little American Flag toothpicks, but you have options! Throw some fruit on top, add a fruit skewer with cherries and blueberries, or make something we haven’t even thought of! But get creative and have fun with it!

Voila! That’s it. It’s actually an extremely easy process, it’s simply a bit more time consuming than our other drinks! And if you’re reading this thinking, “hold UP! I come here for QUICK and easy cocktails — we STILL got you, mama! If you want to cut down on time and ingredients but still get the effects and the TASTE of the slush — you can make a layered wine cocktail of 1/2 cup lemonade, 1 cup moscato, and 1 cup rosé! Throw some berries in there and boom — your drink is made and it’s pretty darn delicious, too.

We would love to see what fun variations you come up with while making your slushies! Tag us on instagram @corksandcheers & Facebook at Corks + Cheers! And as usual, check out our IG page for the recipe and video!

We hope you all have a fun, safe, and SUNNY Fourth! Enjoy your friends, family, fireworks, and all the fun treats! Cheers to our beautiful country and our beautiful community!
