dellatori tuscan red

Kurt Lorenzi, VP of Winemaking and Sourcing, says the Dellatori Tuscan Red flavors of black cherries, currants, a little anise and a very soft supply finish take him back to a warm summer day. This is one of Lorenzi’s favorite classics which he likes to enjoy with veal parmigiana and roasted artichokes.

Dellatori Chianti and Chianti Reserva

Kurt Lorenzi, VP of Winemaking and Sourcing, says the Dellatori Chianti takes him back to family gatherings enjoying a plate of pasta, good meal and good company. The wine comes from Tuscany in the Chianti region. It has the classic characteristics of bright cherry, cherry pit in the flavors and just a very nice acidity to balance the wine out. Lorenzi enjoys this wine with pasta with a nice red sauce and fresh tomatoes.

The Chianti pairs nicely with Pieve, Pecorino or Parmesan.
The Chianti Reserve pairs nicely with Parmesan Reggiano or Pieve.

Ogio Sparkling Rose

Winemaker, Linda Trotta, sees the Ogio Sparkling Rose as a refreshing, lively, and simple wine. The Ogio Sparkling Rose is not only beautiful to look at, with its really nice pink color, but also has nice flavors of fresh fruit such as strawberries, raspberries and a little bit of watermelon to enjoy. Ogio wines are perfect for toasting all of the special moments in your life. Pairs nicely with cheeses such as brie, goat cheese and goat brie.

Ogio Prosecco

Linda Trotta is a winemaker from a large Italian family who always has sparkling wine at their epic weddings, such as Prosecco. She says it reminds her of the joyous moment. Ogio Prosecco is made in the classic Italian style from a winery in North Italy. It is fresh, crisp, and fruity. Trotta describes Ogio Prosecco as “a delicious glass of sunshine.” Prosecco is a very versatile wine. A nice wine to pair with about anything - a charcuterie board, prosciutto wrapped melon, a bucket of popcorn or a nice piece of fish. Pairs nicely with brie or burrata.

Ogio Collection Overview

Winemaker Linda Trotta describes the Ogio Collection as wines that are perfect for toasting all of the special moments in your life. Ogio wines are grown and made in Northeastern Italy. These regions are cooler with soils that are deep and a little moist, allowing for the fruit grown to retain a lot of natural acidity while also retaining its fresh fruit character. These crisp and fruity wines show these characteristics in the glass. Trotta calls Ogio wines “a delicious sip of sunshine.”

Rue De Perle Provence Rose

Kurt Lorenzi, VP of Winemaking and Sourcing, thinks the Rue de Perle Provence Rose is a delectable Rose. Notes of fresh strawberries exist in both the aromas and the flavor, with a lovely lively acidity. Lorenzi likes to pair this wine with a dynamite cheese plate of favorite French cheeses or with melon wrapped in prosciutto. This wine takes him back to his backyard in the summertime sitting around with friends in the late afternoon just enjoying a glass in good company. Pairs nicely with Feta, Cheddar or Baby Swiss.

Rue De Perle Bordeaux

Kurt Lorenzi, VP of Winemaking and Sourcing, identifies Rue de Perle Bordeaux as a classic Bordeaux. One of the most quintessential regions of France, known for full body character, some red fruits along with the savory notes and a very soft silky finish. Lorenzi enjoyed this wine on a picnic in the forest, the reason he remembers this is that the forest floor notes bring out the similar character that exist in the Bordeaux. “It’s not just the beautiful fruit, it’s also the essence of the terroir”. Pairs nicely with Blue Cheese or Tomme de Savoie.

Cotes Du Rhone

Kurt Lorenzi, VP of Winemaking and Sourcing, calls the Rue de Perle Cotes Du Rhone asleep. One sip of it and you can’t put it down. Has the style and classic character of the rhone plum and white pepper notes in the aroma and flavor, with a very supple finish. A classic summertime, or anytime, wine. Lorenzi liked to pair it with barbecue, burgers with maybe some peaches and vanilla ice cream to top it off.
